How to ask questions about a PDF

Start with a readable document and a narrowly defined question.

Open a chat and attach your PDF.
Select an available model and ask about a specific section or topic.
Ask the model to distinguish statements in the document from its own interpretation.
Check quotations, numbers and conclusions in the original PDF before using the result.

Prompts for summaries and document review

Try: “Summarize the main argument in five bullets. Separate the author’s conclusions from assumptions, and say when the document does not answer a question.” For a project brief, ask: “List the deliverables, deadlines and unresolved questions stated in this document. Do not infer missing dates.” These instructions make the output easier to check.

Compare explanations without uploading into another app

Keep your document in the conversation and try a different supported model for another explanation. A second model may identify a missed detail or explain a difficult passage more clearly. Verify both responses against the source rather than treating agreement as proof.

Understand document limitations

PDF extraction may miss scanned text, complex tables or unusual layouts. Model context limits also constrain how much text can be considered at once. If an answer overlooks a section, provide a smaller excerpt or a clear screenshot using a model that supports images. Suvory does not promise perfect OCR or exhaustive review of every page.
